DOT Air Brake Fittings For Copper Tubing

Conformance - Meets specifications and standards of SAE J246 and DOT FMVSS 571.106.

Applications

Use with copper tubing in air brake systems.

Features

1. Construction - Three piece unit: body, long nut and spherical sleeve. Extruded(CA360) and Forged(CA377) Configuration.
2. Vibration resistance - Fair resistance.
3. Advantages - Easy to assemble (no tube preparation or flaring required.) 13XX series bodies (with tube support) could interchange with 14xx series(DOT Air Brake Fittings For Nylon Tubing) bodies for using with nylon tubing (SAE J844 Type A and B).

Specification

1. Temperature Range: Fittings will withstand variations from -65°F to +250°F (-53°C to +121°C)
2. Working Pressure: Maximum operating pressure of 150 psi.

Assembly Instructions

1. Cut tubing to desired length squarely and remove burrs.
2. Slide nut and sleeve onto tubing.
3. Insert tubing into fitting until bottomed on fitting shoulder. The nut should be screwed down until it is hand tight, then wrench-tightened as indicated below
